Vlad was born in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine. After graduating from the Dnipro National University with a master’s degree in Graphic Design in 2006, he worked for a number of years in his native city as a graphic designer, furniture designer, and as an architect assistant.
He eventually entered the Polytechnic University of Turin, where he obtained the master’s degree in Architecture in 2018. While still a student, Vlad frequently worked with local architectural studios, which resulted in his engagement with the city’s professional scene early on.
In 2021 Vlad obtained his architectural licence and became a member of the Turin Order of Architects. The same year, he established the practice under the name of DeMazur, where ‘de’ stands for design.
Vlad is an avid modeller, using a variety of softwares and techniques. His modelling approach is based on Building Information Modelling (BIM) in combination with other tools for parametric modelling through the use of computational systems such as visual scripting with node editors, and history preserving procedural modelling.
