The studio operates within a professional network of partners from the disciplines of structural engineering and building systems. At the same time, we design every element internally. This cross collaborative approach allows us to manage the organic integration of all the parts within a concept-driven built organism, while guaranteeing the maximum expertise over the solutions around the specific disciplines.
We are a total design studio, and start every project from scratch, developing it through all the phases, up until the finest executive detail. Our sensitivity is artistic, yet our solutions are based on technological innovation, as we look for a structural expression of a design idea. We work on every scale in the realms of architecture and industrial design. From spoon to city, everything is important to us as a part of the built environment for life — our ultimate design interest. Ecological responsibility is one of the fundamentals of our work, as we fully embrace the ideas of carbon neutrality, sustainable and recyclable materials, sustainable production means and construction techniques, passive heating and ventilation systems, sustainable energy sources. We believe that every project is unique and treat one accordingly, engaging deeply with clients, places, and cultures.
In addition to the fundamental mediums of sketching and physical modelling, our studio is deeply engaged with constantly developing design technology. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is our main digital platform for architectural design, engineering, project organization and documentation. Task specific instruments are used for modelling, structural analysis, energy analysis, rendering and virtual reality. We integrate traditional techniques of digital design with those driven by computations, whether through the node based systems or the systems based on the element parameters.
We believe that public availability of the performative design tools can increase the build environment quality on a large scale. For that reason, along with commercial design software, we broadly use the open-source programs and systematically invest in them.
Utilizing the above-mentioned instruments allows us to reach the most economic, efficient, verifiable and error-free technological solutions for a given artistic intention.
